MUMBAI: Bombay Overseas Freight Brokers Association (BOFBA) held its 65th Annual General Meeting and Annual Get-together in Mumbai on 4th October 2018.
Mr. Sanjiv Potnis, Founding Promoter & Executive Director of Total Transport Systems Ltd., having almost 3 decades of experience in Shipping & Logistics industry was re-elected as the Chairman of BOFBA for the Third consecutive term.
In his address to the august gathering, Mr. Sanjiv Potnis, said, “BOBFA aspires to connect and work closely with entire shipping fraternity. BOFBA being one of the oldest Associations in India needs to get on a much bigger platform. BOFBA and other active Associations in the trade should come together and discuss their common issues and problems faced by the committee members. BOFBA which is now 65 years old has successfully travelled its journey and plans to take the Association to new heights with lots of dedication and hardwork of the committee members.”
Mr. Ugo VINCENT, Managing Director – CMA CGM India and the Chief Guest of the event in his address to the august gathering expressed his pleasure in joining the Freight Broking Community at BOFBA’s 65th AGM, which happens to be the among the oldest Associations in India managed by very well experienced people from the trade.
He was also happy to inform the gathering that CMA CGM’s had completed 40 years of services to the trade and assured his full support to the trade.
Capt. Swaminathan Rajagopalan – Commercial Director – CMA CGM Agencies India also graced this occasion along with other dignitaries from CMA CGM Marseille office.
Later on Mr. Ugo VINCENT of CMA CGM India presented a memento to BOFBA Managing Committee.
The Chief Guest Mr. Ugo VINCENT was also felicitated with a memento by the Committee Members.
Members from the Calcutta Freight Brokers Association were present on this auspicious occasion too.
The function was well attended by Leading Shipping and Logistics stalwarts, said a BOFBA release.
