FIATA Presidency Member and Rapporteur for Training and Education, Mr Francesco Parisi, and Mr Luc De Blieck, Deputy Director Procedures and Facilitation, World Customs Organization (WCO), signed a historical agreement aimed at enhancing collaboration in training and education at the recent FIATA World Congress 2018 in New Delhi in September.
The purpose of the agreement is to initiate cooperation between WCO Academy and the FIATA Logistics Academy in the establishment of joint training courses. One of the main objectives is to cooperate towards disseminating Customs e-learning courses, offered by the WCO Academy, to the international logistics community through the network and the website of the FIATA Logistics Academy. A major part of the cooperation between WCO Academy and FIATA Logistics Academy will be directed towards providing Customs e-learning to FIATA’s association members. Among others, there is also a mutual intention to organise joint webinars, as well as to offer joint certificates, said a release.
