MUMBAI: Central Warehousing Corporation is a premier Warehousing Agency in India and is one of the biggest public warehouse operators in India. CWC is operating 432 Warehouses across the Country and provides services for a wide range of products ranging from agricultural produce to sophisticated industrial products.
A memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Central Warehousing Corporation, a Govt. of India Undertaking under Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and The Cotton Corporation of India Ltd., a Govt. of India Undertaking under Ministry of Textiles on 14th August 2018 at CCI Corporate office, CBD-Belapur, Navi Mumbai.
As per the MOU, CWC shall provide scientific storage facility to CCI for storing fully pressed bales, tarpaulins, pally/hessian and grey cotton cloth bales in own godowns and hired godowns of CWC. In addition, CWC will also provide management services to the godowns hired by CCI. Storage facility will be provided by CWC in the States of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana where CCI procures cotton.
