Pak PM bets on higher economic growth through CPEC & better access to the sea

By ensuring the successful completion of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and enhancing regional connectivity through roads and sea, Pakistan could raise its economic growth to 9 per cent, the Pakistani Prime Minister, Mr Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, has said.

Taking part in an international maritime symposium here, he said currently Pakistan’s economic growth stood at 6 per cent but it could be increased remarkably by ensuring proper utilisation of access to the sea, which was critical for better regional connectivity, reports said.
