JM Baxi’s Paradip International Cargo Terminal receives first Ship on May 30th

PARADIP: The Vessel DMC JUPITER berthed at PICT (Paradip International Container Terminal) berth 1 on the 30th May for loading steel rounds plates for Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. and sailed on 2nd June. The total quantity of cargo loaded was approximately 7800 MT. A combination of Mobile Harbour Crane and Vessel Cranes were used for loading the cargo from the berth into the vessel.

The cargo breakup is as follows:

Steel Rounds – 7444.700 MT

Steel Plates – 343.306 MT

The Export cargo had arrived by Road and Rail to PICT where it was unloaded, segregated and loaded onto vessel. PICT is using its own fleet of equipment mainly flat bed trailers, reach stackers and mobile harbour cranes, said a statement from the company.
